At Avonhead Early Edventurers,we believe strong relationships between tamariki, whānau, and kaiako create the foundation for the very best outcomes. Our Commitment to Child Safety
The safety and wellbeing of every tamaiti is our highest priority. Our practices are guided by Te Whāriki and He Māpuna te Tamaiti, ensuring children’s emotional, social, and physical wellbeing is upheld at all times.
We maintain clear child protection policies, structured routines, and professional standards to ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment. We foster open communication with whānau and encourage partnership in supporting children’s wellbeing.
Communication and Learning Updates
We keep in close contact with families through our Discover childcare management system and Storypark digital platform. These systems allow our kaiako to document and share your child’s learning journey, including regular updates, photos, and learning stories.
Families can also invite wider whānau to view and celebrate their child’s progress, strengthening connections between home and centre.
Fees and Subsidies

There are several childcare subsidies available to support families:
FamilyBoost
Provides reimbursement of up to 40 percent of weekly childcare fees, paid quarterly, depending on eligibility.
Work and Income Childcare Subsidy
Available to eligible families to assist with pre school childcare costs. We recommend applying three to four weeks before your intended start date to allow processing time.
Fees are available on application.
